A MUSIC HALL AND VAUDEVILLE CONFERENCE AT HOXTON HALL



ESSIE FOX is delighted to be going along to visit London's Hoxton Hall to take part in an exciting conference organised by Fern Riddell, which is called: The People's Palace: Culture and Controversy in Music Hall and Vaudeville.

The day is made up of various panels which will discuss the culture, the costumes, the spread into film and many other aspects. Essie will joining Kate Bailey of the V&A and Gerald Glover, Founding Member of the British Music Hall Society. She will be talking about the influence of the music halls when she was researching and writing her novels, The Somnambulist and Elijah's Mermaid.

The conference starts at 9am and has events going on all day. It costs £25 for Full Admission and £20 for students.
