SHORT STORIES ALOUD IN OXFORD

A Mermaid by J W Waterhouse

On Tuesday September 25th, at 7.30pm, Essie Fox will appear at 'Short Stories Aloud' at the Old Fire Station in Oxford. The event will be recorded for future broadcast on BBC Radio Oxford.

Essie will be joined by fellow author Elanor Dymott (Every Contact Leaves A Trace) and they will both choose a short story to be read by the actors, Steve Hay and Amy Enticknap.

The story that Essie has chosen is yet to remain a secret, but it will be very closely linked to watery themes in The Somnambulist - as well as Elijah's Mermaid , Essie's new Victorian gothic mystery which will be published this coming November.

There will be a bar for drinks, some cake to eat, and a wealth of good discussion.

Tickets are £5 on the door or can be bought in advance .

The Old Fire Station can be found at 40 George Street, Oxford, OX1 2AQ. Telephone: 01865 26398
